After 14 days and 12 arduous stages, the most popular race at an international level has come to an end in its 44th edition. An intense adventure that, at the very least, has served to get motor fans\u2019 engines running at the very start of the year.<\/p>\n

At Ralarsa, automobile glass workshop, we have had the honour of participating and experiencing up close this event which, without a doubt, has left no one indifferent. That is why, in this article, we will go over the key points and experiences that marked FN Speed Team\u2019s journey during the Dakar Rally 2022.<\/p>\n

Continuous adventure stage by stage<\/h2>\n

After their first Dakar Rally in 2019, FN Speed Team have given their all for the fourth consecutive year. They are the Spanish team that gathered the greatest number of competitors in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

In the motorcycle category, Daniel Nosigilia and Joan Pedrero managed to finish the race among the top 20 positions after covering more than 8,000 kilometres. Nosigilia, in 17th place, was able to make up for last year\u2019s withdrawal, achieving highly competitive results. Joan Pedrero, for his part, consolidated 20th place after completing his fourteenth Dakar.<\/p>\n

In the T3 category, which includes lightweight prototypes, Marc Sol\u00e0 and Santi Navarro took 4th place, overcoming one by one all the challenges faced on the desert dunes and finishing less than forty minutes away from the bronze medal.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ricardo Torlaschi and Sebasti\u00e1n Guayasamin climbed to 30th place in the overall standings after the South American team\u2019s serious accident. Although the incident did not result in personal injury, both drivers were forced to abandon during the 10th stage of the Dakar. Javier V\u00e9lez and Mateo Moreno also faced each phase with integrity, finishing in 29th place overall.<\/p>\n

Likewise, this 44th edition of the competition also hosted something never before seen among the participating vehicles in the Dakar Rally. For the first time, thanks to the Girona-based FN Speed Team, one of the teams in the T3 category was led and managed exclusively by women<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 the protagonists being Merc\u00e8 Mart\u00ed and Margot Llobera.<\/p>\n

Finally, the team\u2019s titans took the shape of trucks. In this category, Javier Jacoste, Francesc Ester, and V\u00edctor Gonz\u00e1lez finished in 33rd place, immediately followed by \u00c1lex Aguirregaviria, Siscu Salisi, and Rub\u00e9n Ma\u00f1as, in 34th place. Due to an incident in the penultimate stage, Pato Silva, Carlos Mel Banfi, and Pau Navarro came close but were unable to finish the race.<\/p>\n

After the first half of January in the desert sand, Jeddah saw almost all FN Speed Team riders cross the finish line with satisfaction and pride.
