This year at Ralarsa we are collaborating with the Spanish Association for Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (AEHSC) to support the fight against rare diseases. From 19 December 2022 until 5 February 2023, we will donate 1 euro for every glass repair and replacement service booked through our appointment request on the website.
Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) covers all hereditary disorders of cortisol synthesis in the adrenal glands and affects the growth of minors, and in severe cases can even cause death.
The AEHSC is an association that works to improve the lives of patients affected by this disorder and to support their families. It seeks the collaboration of medical professionals to raise awareness in this community about the disease and to raise as many funds as possible for research into better cures and treatments.
A disease is considered rare when it has a prevalence of 1:2000 or lower. The percentage for CAH is 1:18,000 affected newborns; in Spain in 2020, 339,206 children were born, of which 19 would be affected.
Donations for every appointment booked through our website
To do our bit this year, we have set ourselves the goal of raising at least 3,000 euros to be donated to this association.
The campaign will run from 19 December 2022 until 5 February 2023. This charity campaign will consist of donating 1 euro for each glass repair and replacement service requested via the appointment booking section of our website.
